Amsterdam, 3 July 2025

The CRREM Foundation welcomes two industry leaders, Nina Galbiati from Norges Bank Investment Management and Peter Templeton from the U.S. Green Building Council, to its Foundation Board. This marks a key milestone in strengthening its governance, enhancing global reach, and accelerating the development of its offerings. This announcement follows the recent appointment of Andrea Palmer, former Responsible Investment Lead for Global Real Estate Securities at PGGM, as the Foundation’s inaugural CEO.

CRREM also issues an open call for global industry participation. Experienced professionals are invited to either by nominate themselves or others to join the CRREM Foundation Board or the Technical Council to help the CRREM Foundation ensure that the CRREM Pathways remain science-based, transparent, and globally applicable.

“The U.S. Green Building Council has closely collaborated with CRREM over the past
year, and we’re encouraged to see that engagement reflected in the Foundation’s
forward strategy. CRREM’s decarbonization pathways are a critical tool for aligning
real estate with science-based climate goals.”

Peter Templeton, President and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council

“At Norges Bank, we integrate CRREM pathways as quantitative metrics in our investment process, enabling us to evaluate asset-level and portfolio decarbonization trajectories and price transition risk accordingly. I’m privileged to join the Board, where I’ll focus on strengthening these metrics to support systematic integration across the real estate industry.”

Nina Galbiati, Head of Sustainability for Non-Listed Real Estate at Norges Bank Investment Management

“The establishment of our founding Board represents a pivotal moment in CRREM’s evolution. This group of respected international leaders will guide our strategic direction, reinforce our governance, and strengthen our partnerships across North America, Asia, and other key regions. And I’m looking forward to welcome addition experts to join us. Finally, I would really like to thank Christoper for his great dedication and contribution to CRREM over the past years.”
