In this 30-minute small group session, we’ll walk you through the concept methodology for the revised CRREM Energy Pathways, the first technical output from CRREM’s independent Technical Council, shaped by input from more than 300 experts and industry stakeholders.
We’ll cover:
- Why now: why we’re revising the methodology, and why we’re sharing it as an early prototype while there’s still room to improve it
- A fundamental change: Energy Pathways become a standalone transition risk lens, anchored in a global 1.5°C-aligned energy budget for buildings
- The six-step approach: from a global energy budget, allocated by property type and jurisdiction, then calibrated against what real buildings can achieve
- Sample pathways and assumptions: what the draft pathways show, and the questions that remain open
- Public consultation: how to share your feedback between 6 October and 4 December
- Open-contribution model: how your data can strengthen the science behind the Pathways
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of the concept methodology and how to help shape it, with time to put your questions directly to the team.
