Regional Advisory Committees

Purpose

The CRREM Foundation has three Regional Advisory Committees: (1) Americas, (2), EMEA, and (3) APAC. These groups are responsible for providing structured strategic advice to the CRREM Foundation, Technical Council, and CRREM Foundation team. They are non-voting, strategic advisory bodies that bring local expertise to support the development of the CRREM Foundation, Pathways, and Methodology.

Key responsibilities are:

Provide regional market insights on policy trends, investor expectations, and sector-specific challenges relevant to climate risk
Guide on best available data sources and technical details to support the highest possible scientific integrity of CRREM resources
Help build and strengthen relationships with local stakeholders to promote adoption and effective use of CRREM resources
Provide expert feedback on CRREM’s draft materials, research outputs, and planned updates to ensure regional applicability and credibility

The Terms of Reference outlines the role of the Regional Advisory Committees, its scope, composition, appointment process and working principles. These terms also reflect deliverables of the Regional Advisory Committees, as well as how these groups interact with the organization’s other governance bodies.
