Datasets that power an assessment
Pathways are the benchmark — explored above. These three supporting datasets supply the emission factors, sub-national lookups, and optional climate-adjusted projections that the calculation steps draw on.
Emission Factors
Per-carrier emission factors with actuals for historical years and country-level projections through 2050. Grid electricity factors decline annually; combustion factors for gas, oil, biomass, and other fuels are held constant. Essential for calculation steps A3 and A6.
Emission factors in the latest version are refreshed whenever the underlying sources CRREM relies on publish new values.
ZIP Code Lookup
ZIP / postal code → CRREM sub-national region mapping for the three countries that publish sub-national pathways. Required for US, Canadian, and Australian assets. Not needed for countries with national-level pathways (UK, Germany, Hong Kong, etc.).
HDD/CDD Lookup (EU) optional
Heating-degree-day and cooling-degree-day projections by European postal code, for 2015 and 2024 baselines, under SSP5-8.5 and SSP2-4.5 climate scenarios. Supports the optional climate-adjusted EUI projection in Technical Blueprint step 6.1a.
This is an illustrative dataset extracted from the CRREM legacy tool. Newer scenarios are already available and will replace this file in a later release.
Release history
Every release is permanently archived at a fixed URL. The current release is the one to use; earlier versions stay downloadable so past work can be rechecked.

CRREM Data is provided by the CRREM Foundation for research, investment analysis, internal decision-making, and reporting — free of charge and with attribution. Commercial redistribution, derivative datasets, and embedding CRREM Data into platforms, tools, or products sold or licensed to third parties require a separate License Partner agreement.
